Leslie Berliant is a journalist, poet, author, editor, and consultant. For clients, she is the Writing Whisperer.

Leslie studied with poet and creator of Method Writing, Jack Grapes, screenwriter Karin Gutman, and authors Jackie Parker, Jim Krusoe and Kurt Vonnegut. Her work is included in anthologies Big City Mantra and Deliver Us, and she has shared her work at venues around New York and Los Angeles including Hotel Café’s Tongue and Groove, Spark on Rose, and Cherry Branch Gallery. Leslie is published online and in print including Celsias, where she was editor-in-chief, Jewish Journal, and Tribe Magazine. Leslie offers writing courses and retreats, and works with clients one-on-one as a ghost writer, consultant, editor, and writing coach. She is the host of Writrix Salons, monthly readings of original written work. 

In addition to writing, she performed with Gus Giordano, Futorian Dance Theater, and the American School of Russian Ballet. Leslie is a Founding Partner of The Rural Majority Project where she works with rural candidates running for elected office. She trained as a creative facilitator at The Thinkubator, has provided innovation training, marketing, communications, PR and transition consulting for corporations, organizations and individuals.

Leslie is an evangelist of creativity for creativity’s sake, and eternally grateful to all of her teachers for influencing her work and her teaching.
